
Job Description
The Badminton Lachine Club is looking for candidates to complete its coaching team for the 2024-2025 season (adult, youth, and elite). The club includes adult and youth players ranging from 6 to 17 years old, divided into different levels (beginner, intermediate, competitive, and elite).
Athletes participate in several tournaments within the regional, school, provincial, and national networks. The French pedagogical tool, Plume, is used by coaches to ensure the athletes’ progression. New employees will receive support and training, with a training budget available based on interest.
Salary: Highly competitive, defined according to Badminton Lachine’s salary scale.
Tasks and requirements
Ability to create an annual plan integrating technical, physical, and mental aspects (specific to the elite group).
Technical and strategic knowledge of badminton (provincial level for the elite group).
Good knowledge of tournament regulations.
Excellent interpersonal skills (players, parents, volunteers, and employees).
Ability to work as part of a team (close collaboration between the coach and the assistant coaches of the group).
Availability on Saturdays and Sundays for certain tournaments (about 5 per year for the elite group).
Availability 1 evening per week for adult and youth groups; 2 or 3 evenings per week for the elite group, from September to June.
Active participation in the organization of 2 tournaments during the season, including one event from the Badminton Quebec provincial circuit.
Will be considered: Holding a certification in teaching, animation, or coaching (specific or not to badminton).
